Lifecare is a contract that provides residency in a beautiful independent living accommodation with a long list of services and amenities, along with priority lifetime access to a complete continuum of care: assisted living, nursing and memory care, all right one campus.
Lifecare is a way to free yourself from the chores and responsibilities of home ownership so you can spend more time enjoying the things you love to do. It’s a way to give your family the reassurance that you’re enjoying life, surrounded by friends and always close to any care you might need. Joining a Lifecare community alleviates the fears of becoming a burden to your children or aging among strangers. It prevents you from having to make a decision about your future under duress, if a health crisis strikes. It protects your assets and reinforces your financial security.
With a Lifecare contract, you pay an up-front, one-time entrance fee for your residence. Then, you pay monthly maintenance fees for ongoing services, including unlimited use of our health care services. Your monthly fees remain stable and predictable, with minor fluctuations for inflation and operational costs. You do not pay a higher fee if you need a higher level of care (for example, making a transition from independent living to assisted living). Compare Lifecare security to the alternative: paying the rising cost of long-term care as health care needs increase. A Lifecare community provides you with a fulfilling, independent lifestyle, asset preservation for your estate, protection from expensive, pay-as-you-go long-term care, and the security of a full array of health care services, if ever needed.
Hillside Village welcomes residents aged 62 and above.
There are 140 apartments with many different floor plans and square footage options from which to choose.
Hillside Village is nestled within 66 acres of beautiful countryside with stunning meadow and hillside views including Mt. Monadnock in the background.
At no additional cost, we include one underground or covered parking space per each residence. Additional assigned open parking is available.
Hillside Village does provide transportation to local shopping centers, grocery stores, museums, galleries and restaurants as well as local health care providers.
We offer a flexible dining experience. One meal a day for each day of the month is included for each resident, either in our full-service restaurant or the casual tavern, a fun dining venue. 25% of those meals can be room service at no additional cost. You can use some of your meals for guest meals as well.
Each residence comes with a fully appointed kitchen.
Hillside Village is a pet-friendly community that supports pet ownership and recognizes that pets can enhance the overall health and well-being of a resident.
We invite you to make yourself at home by furnishing and decorating your apartment.
We love to have guests. They are more than welcome to stay with you in your apartment or in our guest apartment. Guest meals are available at nominal fees.
No, but you will be required to carry your own personal property insurance policy, most commonly known as Renter’s Insurance or content insurance. We also strongly encourage you to obtain a personal liability insurance policy.
There are several variables that determine exact costs for each resident. The fees compare very favorably with the cost of maintaining your own home. Many things that you pay for now, such as utilities, insurance, home maintenance costs and property taxes will be included in your monthly fee.
Your monthly fee is based on the type of floor plan selected. Included in the monthly fee are: delicious chef-prepared cuisine in multiple dining venues, housekeeping services, transportation services, activities programs, groundskeeping, 24-hour security and emergency response, heating and air conditioning, real estate taxes and a guarantee of long-term health care. In addition, there will be a heated indoor pool, a fully equipped fitness center, restaurant, tavern, library, performing arts hall, beauty salon/spa, greenhouse, convenience store, media center, mini-theater, covered parking, and WiFi, all on a scenic 66-acre campus!
It is reasonable to expect annual increases in monthly fees to offset increases in the cost of utilities, staff salaries and operating expenses. You will be notified, however, in advance of any price increase.
There may be tax advantages for residents, as several IRS rulings have established that a portion of a Lifecare community entrance and monthly fees are deductible as a prepaid medical expense. As always, you should discuss your individual tax situation with your personal tax advisor.
As a not-for-profit community, Hillside Village is not charged with the task of returning a profit to the investors. In lieu of paying dividends to stockholders, we are able to reinvest proceeds into enhanced services for our residents.
Absolutely.
The purpose of Lifecare is to give you options and security. As your needs change, we will work closely with you, your physician, and family members to provide services and make accommodations, or to assist you in transitioning to a higher level of care, if needed.
Hillside Village provides 45 Private Care Assisted Living Suites, 18 Private Memory Care Rooms and 20 Private Nursing Care Rooms.
At Hillside Village, couples can receive the individualized care needed while still living within the same community. If one spouse or partner requires a higher level of health care assistance and has to change residency to an Assisted Living or Nursing Care accommodation, the remaining spouse or partner continues to occupy the independent living apartment, without any increase in the monthly fee paid for that apartment.
Long-term care insurance policies vary greatly in what they actually cover, and each individual should make sure they are aware of what is covered by their policy. Hillside Village does have an entrance fee program that has a reduced fee because of the expectation that some of a resident's long-term health care costs will be paid by the resident's long-term care insurance policy.
